Introducing STONE CARVING CLASSES with Steve Singline. Drawing on a broad knowledge of stone carving and sculptural techniques, local artist & sculptor Steve Singline, will guide participants through a rang of exercises in a supportive and encouraging environment.Participants will have the opportunity to complete a range of work including stone pendants, free standing carvings, holding stones, chess pieces and Tea light candle holders. Classes will also explore aspects of Social, Cultural and Religious symbolism as it relates to carving. The medium used will be Talc, a soft and easy stone to work with. All tools and materials can be purchased from the tutor including Carving kits asc well as a range of pre-cut, drilled and lump stone.
